You shall know he run pretty slow. Though he runs slow, he summons 2 infernals that run at normal speed. This makes kiting him a bit more of a challenge but not beyond doing. The first time I did him solo, I pulled him all the way over to the clefthoof area in the eastern part of the bone wastes.
Running around in a circle with cheetah on till he dropped. The second time I was killing him, I decided to give a less exciting, somewhat cheesy, approach.
I noticed that his adds, the infernals, had a 33 damage pulsing aura so I drug the pull through the outpost in the SW corner of the bone wastes.
As I expected, the guards netted and mobbed them quickly. So the easiest way to do the quest would be to have a hunter friend kite them to the outpost and collect the book after. Cheese, but effective. One more important note: If you do melee him with a group, he casts cripple a lot so expect it to be a slow going fight.
Just kill a couple that are likely to be in your way. I had "track undead" on so i could visually map an escape route as I kited. Shoot him fast then run away again. What we did is I kited the boss around the nearby pillar by continuously running around it and my dots slowly killed him. Meanwhile, the shaman and her elemental took care of the adds. I almost killed him kiting him around ring, but it takes a lot longer and there a lot more mobs you will run into. Easier to just kite him to camp IMO. Pally tanked and I took care of the adds as well as DPS the elite. Our problem was OOM but finally we killed him. Totally 3 adds came. That was a wipe He resisted mind controls good after that.

Комментарий от piece of cake, pull, run towards the camp, on the way there the infernal ae dmg will hurt the friendly elite guards fighting in area towards the camp, when they take damage, they start to hit the infernals, that makes you being able to do some damage and get some range, then the friendly guards turned red, still hitting the infernal though, so i just kept kiting towards the camp, and when the infernals started hitting the real guards, they later turned and hit the big one, quite easy.

DoT and run. They only have 5k hp. Tryed abouth 10 times before i made it so its not easy, 3th-4th try i got him down but couldent loot him so be sure to get some mind blast on him to, on the way to the camp. Kited him to camp like everyone else, the vindicators on the way helped tank him for a bit, kited with rank 1 lightning bolt as its only a 0.
When adds were spawnd i just threw down a stoneclaw totem or if that was on CD earthbind. Guards at the camp took care of him pretty easily :. Комментарий от His abilities are: Summons infernals on you and can cast mind control not often, only does it if there are other enemies near by either NPC or PC. Can cast cripple, but if you run out of range before he finishes casting you can avoid it since He walks VERY slow. Easy to kite. Quite easy to deal with the infernals while poor levixus tries to catch up.
Conserve your mana. Bring some mana pots for the second try. Get a feel for it the first try and if you fail use the pots.
Stay at around max range so you can easily walk out of his cripple range when he casts. Or you can just dispel it but that costs mana.

So if your going to try the same, look which way your going to kite him through.
